Hi Members,
It is with great sadness that I share the news that Jack Hampton, a much loved and deeply respected lifetime member of Sefton Golf Club, passed away in the early hours of Friday, July 10th.
Jack reached an incredible milestone earlier this year, celebrating his 100th birthday. A full century of stories, humour, kindness, and character. He was admired by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, and I can honestly say I never heard a single bad word spoken about him.
Jack loved his golf, he loved reminding me that despite being three times my age at one point, he could still beat me and he often did. His spirit, competitiveness and joy for the game will be remembered fondly by all of us.
On behalf of Sefton Golf Club, we extend our deepest condolences to Jack’s family during this difficult time.
